Trevor is 15 and has been playing banjo for 3 years now. After he started playing 5 months later he won 1st place in the Youth Banjo contest at the Smithville Fiddlers Jamboree. Trevor lives in Ringgold, GA which is just south of Chattanooga, TN. Trevor's favorite banjo player is Don Reno but he also enjoys Earl Scruggs, Eddie Adcock, and J.D. Crowe among many others. Trevor had the opportunity to open for the Gibson Brothers in April of 2015 in a group of youth performers at the Kentucky Opry in Draffenville, KY. Trevor also received the Pearl and Floyd Franks Scholarship from the Share America foundation for his interest and dedication to the traditional musical arts of Appalachia. The award was presented by former Grand Ole Opry Performer and Bluegrass Boy, Randall Franks. Trevor's brother, Garrett, plays guitar and performs with Trevor at local venues in the Chattanooga area. Trevor tries to attend as many bluegrass festivals and competitions as he can, especially in the summer.
