Cody Gressett

Cody Gressett is a 16 year old* who lives in Chunky, a small town in eastern Mississippi. He developed an interest in music at the age of 10 when he received a harmonica for Christmas. His love of music grew as he began to play the guitar shortly thereafter. He has been playing the mandolin for 2 years now and is planning on attending the Monroe Mandolin Camp in September.

Cody is currently a member of the bluegrass gospel group “The Rowzees”, who he has played with since the age of 12. He recently began playing with “Tyler Carroll and Pineridge Bluegrass”. His musical influences include Flatt and Scruggs, The Stanley Brothers, Dailey and Vincent, and Bill Monroe. Cody enjoys sharing his music with others and can be found playing at long term care facilities, festivals, and local gatherings. Cody recently earned his Black Belt in Han Mu Do “Korean Martial Arts”.  He enjoys golfing, football, and hunting. Cody is very appreciative that God has blessed him with his musical talent and family that support him in this endeavor.
